I am an associate professor in Climate Psychology at the Faculty of Technology, Policy and Management at Delft University of Technology. I have a background in social psychology and started to combine the study of human behaviour with theories from the field of (risk) communication and (behavioural) public administration during my PhD at Leiden University. I identify psychological mechanisms that affect climate-related decision-making with qualitative and quantitative research methods. I like to zoom in on the concept of climate psychology and why humans find it sometimes difficult to act green. I am motivated to share my research findings with a large audience, therefore I regularly blog and vlog about my work.
